Why Use LED?
LED lighting creates very little heat compared to traditional lights. LED’s do not produce ultraviolet or infrared rays (light waves which cannot be seen by the human eye). LED light convert a higher percentage of energy into light within the visible spectrum which means that less power is required to produce the same amount of useful lights. The life time of replacement led lights is around 50,000 hours or more, that means that under normal use LED light will not need replacing for 12 years. Using LED lamps means that replacement lights costs are reduced, as well as man hours spent replacing the lamps. LED lighting offers numerous benefits over other types of lighting for today’s environmentally-conscious buildings working toward LEED certification.
